Ready for Summer Hair!

A lot of you have been asking about what products I use for my hair, specially for summer time. It's a little bit of a long story so I will try to summarize… I cut my hair few years ago and honestly, it was quite a struggle to grow it out again. Specially when I was stuck in that uncomfortable length where I felt like my hair had all of a sudden decided not to grow an inch longer! I went through that tragic point where I felt it wasn't too short or too long, quite frustrating. For what seemed an eternity it was just long enough to style it in a nice cute way.  Well, It took me a few years to get the length that I have now, and honestly, looking on the bright side, I learned a lot about hair during the growth process. Today I want to share with you a few of my favorite products for this summer and later on also tell you about other things relating to hair… So stay tuned for more hair posts!

Much@s de ustedes me han estado preguntando sobre los productos que uso para el pelo, especialmente para este verano. La historia de mi pelo es un poco larga, pero resumiendo un poco les cuento que hace algunos años me corte muchísimo el pelo y desde ese día ha sido una pequeña pesadilla volver a tener el largo que tengo ahorita. Especialmente cuando pasas por ese largo incomodo en el que sientes y estas segura que tu pelo tomó la sabia decisión (según el) de ya no crecer. Ese punto trágico en el que no esta ni muy corto ni muy largo como para poder peinarte... "bien". En fin. En mi caso, como les dije, me tomó varios años en que me volviera a crecer pero honestamente hoy puedo decir que la parte positiva de la historia es que durante el proceso aprendí mucho sobre mi pelo y como tratar de cuidarlo. Así que hoy voy a compartir algunos de mis productos favoritos para este verano y mas adelante iré subiendo mas posts sobre otros temas de como cuidar el pelo.  

1) Moroccan Oil Treatment. 

This is a classic. Hydrates and helps split ends./ Un clásico! Hidrata y ayuda a prevenir la orzuela. 

2) Rene Furterer Brume Hydratante.

Perfect for hydration after sun exposure./ Perfecto para hidratar después de haber estado en el sol.

3) John Frieda Go blonder. 

This is one of my favorite lightening sprays for summer. Apply the product from the middle to the ends to create a natural look. / Este es uno de mis favoritos. El spray aclara hasta dos tonos en el sol. Aplicalo de la mitad hacia las puntas para un efecto mas natural. 

4) Surf Spray by Bumble&Bumble.

Perfect beach hair starts here! This amazing salt water spray will give you the best natural volume./ El pelo de verano empieza por aquí. Este spray de agua de mar te va a dar el volumen veraniego con un efecto muy natural. 

5) Kérastase Elixir K Ultimate. 

This serum is perfect for your hair after taking a shower. Apply a few drops all over and then style it as usual./ Este serum es perfecto para cuando te acabas de bañar. Aplica unas gotas en todo el pelo y peinalo como de costumbre.

6) Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy.

 One of my new favorites for summer. I like this brand because all of the ingredients are 100% natural and organic. The chocolate smell is amazing! /Este es uno de mis nuevos descubrimientos para este verano. Me encanto esta marca porque los ingredientes son 100% naturales y orgánicos. Además huele a chocolate!

7) Coconut Oil. 

At night apply coconut oil and leave it for 15 min, then rinse and shampoo./ En la noche aplica aceite de coco y dejalo actuar por 15 min, después enjuagalo y lávate el pelo. 

8) L'oréal Nature's Therapy. 

One of my all time favorites! This mask is a miracle. Use this mask twice a week and leave it overnight if you can. It smells amazing and your hair will be shiny and soft./ Esta mascarilla es una de mis favoritas, es un verdadero milagro para el pelo! Usala dos veces por semana y si puedes déjala actuar toda la noche. Huele increíble y the deja el pelo super suave y con mucho brillo.
